Our story began at the kitchen table—with coffee, of course. Steve Loyd, a lifelong coffee lover, found himself facing the uncomfortable reality of acid reflux so severe that he had to sleep on an incline. But giving up his morning ritual? That wasn’t an option. So, he got to researching.

Backed by a deep background in science and research, Steve discovered a mineral formula that reduced acid in coffee—without altering its flavor. It worked so well, he didn’t stop there. Today, with his wife Gayle and daughter Ashley by his side, the Loyd family leads Tamer Essentials®—a family-owned company committed to helping people enjoy the foods and drinks they love without discomfort.
